We hope that this finds you and your family safe and well. As Texas takes its first steps towards reopening amid COVID-19, we thought it was important to share how this affects us at Shooting For Success.
While some businesses have been granted the ability to open in accordance with the Governor’s guidelines announced last week, Diane and I are asking you to hang in there with us a little longer. The guidelines for an organization such as ours, honestly, are murky. Most youth and school sports organizations are not reopening quite yet. Most AAU and other tournaments remain postponed until further notice. As such, we have made the tough decision that we will not be reopening, fully, likely until Phase 3 of the Governor’s reopening plan, in June.
So what does that mean?
- Team Training will continue via email, zoom, and online communication only.
- Private training (1on1) will continue (in-person) at our SFS gym, or, via Zoom/What’s App. This is at the player/parent’s discretion.
- Fundamentals Training will continue via email workouts. We are looking at beginning group Zoom workouts. Please watch for an email.
- SFS Summer Camp scheduled for June is looking hopeful!
As we have stated before, your health and safety is our #1 priority. As such, we must remain compliant, disciplined, and patient. While Diane and I put this pandemic as one of our greatest challenges we’ve ever personally faced, we have chosen to remain “fourth quarter strong” and ask that you and your player will too.
Do not grow tired. Do not lose patience. Do not curb your enthusiasm for the game. Instead, continue to move forward with eyes on the basket at all time. At the end, we will want to win on and off the court. In today’s world that means being healthy and well above all else.
If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
Sincerely,
DJ & Diane Jones
